Designed itineraries that could be shared with tour operators from around the world. Hosted media fams. Attended major travel trade shows with staff to introduce them to the 'packaged travel' side of tourism.

Developing and expanding their package travel program to attract tour operators from around North America to 'stop and stay a couple of days' instead of driving through to somewhere else down the highway...There is something for every age group in this beautiful part of the country!

An association dedicated to market the State and NW region to the tour operators in the world! We are embarking upon an exciting era of this Association. With the current Board of Directors, I feel confident that OTTA can reach the next level of service to our membership. The Strategic Plan for 2013-2015 is in place, membership and involvement on the Committees are on the rise!

Developing and expanding package travel programs for the urban and rural destination marketing organizations. Assisting the independent culinary tourism related businesses in expanding their marketing reach to the consumer. Offering communication and home services to my friends, relatives and business associates.

Goldenale Washington

This project was to take place in Goldendale Washington and consisted of destination resort centered around a performing arts center. Was responsible for setting up the entire organization, including procuring office space, marketing, financial, board selections and duties. Worked with building designer for the performing arts center, hotel, conference center, parking garages, health and wellness center, art gallery, viewpointe, interpretive center and winery.

Columbia River Gorge Area - Washington & Oregon States

Developing the opportunities for their members to participate in the growing package travel industry. The Gorge is one of the most visited areas in the Northwest...and tour operators are no exception. Challenge is to educate them on the benefits of staying in the region and experiencing the other incredible sights, sounds and aromas off the Interstate...and that is where Falcon's Crest Inc comes in...that is what we do!

Ragan and Falcon's Crest joined up as a team and as she described it, "we sat at opposite ends of my dining room table, and our computers literally smoked!" After a day of site visits, we would return and design suggested itineraries for tour operators and post them with the appropriate graphics to the website. Develop Culinary Tourism chapters around the world. What an exciting opportunity...will be traveling to Michigan in January to conduct a full day Culinary Tourism Conference for that Chapter...am anxious to meet those people that I have been in contact with for over a year!

Planned and assisted with the Regional Symposia held throught the US. Assisted with membership campaigns, organized and was the liaison for regional Chapters.

Worked with Civic Center Manager to upgrade the Seaside lodging properties on their website. Assisted in the early stages of developing a package travel test program.

A full service country inn with a fine dining restaurant and full liquor license located on the southern flank of Mt. Hood in the State of Oregon. The chef, my husband and partner was the recipient of two international awards for 'Best Evening Cuisine'. Melody has been the recipient of two very prestigious awards, one from Travel Oregon, and the other from Travel Portland. Their country inn garnered the reputation as the "Holiday Inn on Mt. As owner of Falcon's Crest Inn on Mt. Hood, Skibowl was an important recreation area as it was located right across the highway from us. We featured them in packages for our guests.
