Melody utilizes her journalism and digital media background to teach communication courses at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, including Introduction to Mass Communications, Media Literacy, Media Writing and News Editing.

e-webstrategy seeks to take the frustrations, anxiety, and complexity out of the online marketing process. We are an online marketing GSP — providing Guidance, Performance, and Simplification — for businesses, financial institutions, and others in San Antonio, Texas, and surrounding communities. Simply put, inbound marketing is the opposite of outbound marketing or traditional marketing, where a message is pushed out to the mass — through commercials, paid advertisements, and loud, obnoxious radio ads — with the hope that someone out there receives it and acts. Traditional marketing tactics and messages interrupt and disturb people in hopes of selling them something they may not have been looking to buy. Inbound marketing connects real people to the real businesses, products, and services that they're already looking for online. We offer information and resources through online venues like blogs and social media that attract online users to the website, where they can connect with that company or organization should they desire.

I taught the lab portion of Writing for the Media, a basic media writing course for undergraduate students at Texas State University.

As an intern, I reported for the Prime Time Newspapers, where I covered feature and news stories in almost every community in San Antonio that is covered by each newspaper.

I managed an online newspaper staff of about 15-20 students, and helped establish a media presence on Texas A&M-San Antonio's new campus on the South Side of San Antonio.
