Current•Strengthened the HCS Library Department of 31 libraries, 37 Teacher-Librarians, and 6 Library Clerks by implementing monthly professional development sessions and quarterly one-on-one coaching sessions. •Revitalized the Success 101 curriculum, the foundation Academy course taken by all ninth grade students in Hampton City Schools. •Created English Language Arts curriculum for grades 3-5 for the HCS FLEx program, a combination of highly engaging virtual live lessons and asynchronous/independent activities using games, role-plays, puzzle quests, escape rooms, and hands-on projects. •Organized Minecraft Midsummer Madness event, an online summer competition with 4 levels that was created and run by 7 teachers and 4 students and had 80 HCS students compete either individually or in teams for cash prizes.•Supported a 3 day Future of Learning Summit for 80 attendees which included a Time Code Mystery Gala for over 300 attendees and culminated in a student-led project-based showcase. •Coached 4 administrators and 97 teachers on project-based learning over the course of one school year ending with a Division wide Building Tomorrow Showcase where 3 out of 4 of our student teams placed. •Budgeted for a cohort of 6 HCS teachers to receive 50% tuition reimbursement for a Masters in Library Information Science degree from Old Dominion University from the HCS Library funds over the next 3 years. •Coordinated an initiative with Hampton Public Library to provide 19,350 HCS students with a SMART (Student Member Access to Resources and Technology) Library Card which provides access to Hampton Public Library’s online resources.
