This is my professional creative outlet. I provide custom designed trainings to preschool teachers on topics of their choosing. After learning a bit about the goals for the training, I research, plan, and facilitate. My style of delivery is a mix of mini-lectures, Q&A, large and small group discussion, and ample time spent in teams to determine how the information will be put to use.

I planned play-based activities to support children 0-4 years old in their language, motor, social, emotional, and cognitive development and simplified the classroom to set all students up for success. I communicated the daily plan with my teaching team and delegated classroom responsibilities appropriately. And I developed meaningful relationships with diverse families and colleagues.I also had the joy of mentoring a student teaching candidate for the spring of 2022.

As a Parent Educator for Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), I facilitated conversations between parents of children ages 0-5 on child development and parenting topics. Through the support of our community and thoughtfully facilitated conversations, parents were empowered to determine what worked best for them to build healthy and positive relationships with their children. We worked some magic building trust and a safe community where it was ok to ask questions, to fail, and to beless than perfect. We worked together to build each other up and offer support. My classroom was a place where diversity in families, culture, religion, ability, ethnicity, race, orientation, education, and perspective was celebrated and welcomed; and where kindness and empathy could always be found.

In this role, I hired and on-boarded new employees, administered the company’s benefits programs, re-wrote and updated an Employee Handbook, and managed the company’s transition to an online Human Resources Information System. I also developed and implemented the company’s first Corporate Volunteer Policy.Human Resources AdministratorNovember 2011 - October 2012I provided employee support related to company benefits and collaborated with department managers to write job descriptions and job postings. Additionally, I processed payroll, employee forms, and monthly payroll accruals timely and accurately. Managing and organizing record-keeping was a large part of this role.Administrative AssistantOctober 2010 - December 2011Provided research, special project and administrative support to Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Ensured that project plans including overall goals, technical requirements, schedules, resources, and budgets were documented. Communicated information promptly to appropriate team members and proactively followed-up with vendors to ensure project goals were met. Reconciled assigned bank accounts, and assisted Operations staff with lockbox processing and statement preparation.
