I work with a team of other DBAs to manage petabytes of sql server data. My focus is on performance tuning and advising development teams during the development cycle to ensure scalability and stability of our database systems in the future.

Senior Production Database Administrator responsible for 24x7 stability and performance of all database technologies in use at The Bell Group. Experience in designing, implementing and supporting transactional replication, log shipping, SQL Server clustering, SQL Server Reporting Services with SQL Server 2005 - 2008 R2. Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to performance monitoring and improvement, capacity monitoring and planning, providing guidance to development teams to ensure data integrity and performance, security of all database systems, verifying backups and the ability to restore when needed. Additional responsibilities include software asset management from a licensing and compliance vantage point, IT capitol expense planning, and working with business units to solve business problems with available technologies.

Responsibilities included general Windows 2000 - 2003 systems administration. McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator administration to prevent and quickly resolve virus and malware infection on corporate computer systems. User Account administration including creating, modifying, and removing Active Directory user accounts and Exchange Server mailboxes and groups. VMS/VAX administration including migration of a micro-vax cluster to a Charon VAX emulation system.

Primary responsibilities included all first level support functions, managing IT requests, escalation of issues to second and third level support resources, hardware and software procurement, and the administration of Front Range Solutions HEAT ticketing system.
