I worked in the Cariloha and Del Sol retail stores. My duties included navigating high pressure sales situations with clients of various cultural backgrounds, meeting and exceeding daily and monthly sales goals, both as a team and as an individual. Along with normal retail store operations, I was in charge of opening and closing the stores and managing local staff. In this position I learned how to adapt to new living environments and improved my communication, multi-tasking, and leadership skills.

As the Chapter Intern, I assisted with research for grant proposals and certifications for future project funding. I remeasured and remapped outdated trails that were up kept by the Chapter; I submitted ideas on how to grow and promote the Society within the community, and was tasked with learning to use new equipment and then teach the Chapter personnel how to use the equipment on their own.

I assisted in the Intro Physical Geology Lab course. Along with aiding the professor with lesson plans, I lead discussions with the class; I explained and answered questions during the labs and reviewed missed answers on the graded exercises. I facilitated and participated in a field trip to Sweet Water State Park.
