At university, I completed my studies in Accountancy and Finance. My track in Data Analytics has enabled me to understand the general shift towards a data-driven world.To obtain real life experience of the accountancy industry, I undertook a part-time job with PricewaterhouseCoopers, as well as had an audit internship in Goh Ngiap Suan & Co. My time in these firms allowed me to familiarise myself with the industry jargon and also realise the high standards of accuracy that accountants and auditors must hold themselves to. The two differing firms has also given me a look into the differences in responsibilities and roles that large and small firms have, for similar positions.Since 2019, I have been working at Grant Thornton Singapore LLP as an auditor, working my way up from Associate all the way to Manager level. I work best as a part of a team and my patience and empathy allows me to be the mediator of the team.
