Idea Builder and LauncherI'm able to help you build a technical concept using engineering, or an interactive experience in extended reality using my skills in mechanical, biomedical, and software engineering.I'm also able to innovate new technology and deploy it for real use, having done so twice for two separate healthcare companies.I come alive when innovating, and I love collaboration, whether technical or people-oriented. I've applied my skills and knowledge for real solutions, demonstrated by the research and innovation competitions I've participated in:- 1st place: Project Voice Hackathon, IEEE SAS SIGHT, 2023- 1st place: Entrepreneurial Category, Capstone Design Fair, Schulich School of Engineering, U of C, 2022- Finalist Team, “Best Peer Support” Individual: Launchpad, Hunter Hub, U of C, 2022- 1st place: Industry, Neuro-Nexus Competition, 2020- 3rd place: COVID-19 Intervention Challenge, Hunter Hub, U of C, 2020- Competitor: Innovation 4 Health Competition, 2018- Undergraduate Engineering Research Excellence Award, Undergraduate Research Symposium, 2017I've been a co-instructor to teach a class of 40 undergraduate students how to do engineering entrepreneurship as part of their final capstone project. I was also a peer mentor and calculus teacher for Indigenous students at the U of C, mentoring three students into the engineering program and teaching eight. In my free time, I volunteer for the Alcove Centre of the Arts, a social innovation business to improve access to creative arts in Calgary.That said, I acquired a severe traumatic brain injury in my first year of university. It provided me with a diverse outlook instead of limiting my experience. As I’ve grown, principles of usability and learning interest me.
