I just earned my Ph.D. in the area of reconfigurable computing. Most notably, I invented a CAD technique for discovering optimal-depth generic logic chains in an arbitrary Boolean network. Generic logic chains are sequences of Boolean operations that act like arithmetic operations, but are not signified by HDL and are thus not identified or implemented in current FPGA architectures. This work has received a best paper award at ICCD07 and a Iowa State University 2008 Research Excellence Award.I am looking for a research-oriented job that will allow me to extend my study into ASIC design. I would like to use my creativity, ability to learn quickly, and work ethic to develop novel CAD techniques and architectural strategies to improve performance. Ultimately, I would like to explore the confluence of computing and the natural world through applying the strategies found in nature to the solution of computing problems and vice versa.Specialties: Computer architecture design, FPGA CAD and architecture design, optical network fault tolerance
