Assistant operations manager I am responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, the administrator activities required to accomplish assigned mission and functions. Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures as needed to define the standards of quality and quantity to be met with responsibility and accountability toward customer service in a professional manner which demonstrates innovation and initiative toward resource stewardship. * Work with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, electronic mail outlook express , database management, and others various programs related to the administrative support and day to day operations of the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO). Exercises system security responsibility in accordance with appropriate regulations. * Oversee a variety of property disposal management decisions and work to dispose of government excess property and assist the customer in the solution of both common and unique disposal issues regarding a variety property being turned in, using FED log, Webflis and various other computer systems to research property being turned in to ensure correct information is on the Department of Defense form DD1348 for turn in. * Interpret property disposal policies and procedures and to ensure proper handling, storage and accountability of excess or surplus property to prevent damage, loss, or personal injury. Loading and unloading of trucks using various forklifts (MHE) and pallet moving equipment ranging from 2000 to 15000 pounds then placing material into correct storage locations. Maintain records of all assigned vehicles and MHE to the DRMO. * Perform inventory of property on hand to ensure correct accountability of property on hand and ensure property is in correct location. Perform justification to inventory depending whether or not property was a loss (FLIPL) or gained.
