Having recently graduated college, I am excited to explore the ways that my logic and compassion can help a team problem solve and come up with new ideas. Being curious about how the world works and the people in it, allow me to not only ask, "How are we doing this?" but also, "WHY are we doing this?"I loved numbers before I could even spell, so naturally I began college as a math major. That lasted all of half of a semester, because after taking a sociology elective course, I promptly changed my major to combined mathematics and sociology. Maybe it was my early love for Star Trek or the fact that my mom is a social worker, but I found out my first semester of college that sociology was just as much a part of how I see the world as math was. Fast forward to 2 years later when I realized how much I enjoyed coding in C++, working with a team towards a common goal, and problem solving. This led me to add my interdisciplinary engineering minor, rounding out the subjects that cover just about every aspect of my personality: math, sociology, and engineering.During my previous work experiences, I learned that there is strength in numbers (of people). Working as a cohesive unit allows for prioritization of tasks, delegating when appropriate, and most importantly, proper communication. I look forward to being part of a team that also values those goals.
