Tasks included developing the Concepts of Operation, soliciting input from FDOT project leads and other stakeholders, development of the Project Concept Report, System Requirements, Systems Engineering Management Plans, and Project Managements Plans.• Lead author for Version 3 of the 511 Guidelines for the National 511 Coalition, a task force led by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.

Senior Program CoordinatorMetropolitan Transportation Commission 1996 - 2004Managed ITS projects, including six-year, $40 million TravInfo/511 Design-Build-Operate-Maintain contract, with primary responsibility for all project elements, including initial procurement, data collection, data fusion, development of the 511 telephone number and the 511.org web page, relationships with public and private sector partners, and overall project management. • End result of the project was a traveler information telephone number that currently receives over 500,000 calls per month, as well as a web page that supports over 2,000,000 user sessions per month. • The project’s signature element is the point-to-point travel time application, which allows users to get current travel times between any two points in the region. This was the first system in the country to provide this feature. • The project included development of a data collection system (needed to support the travel time application) at less than 50% of the cost of previous traffic data collection networks. -
