Served as the targeting officer and officer-in-charge of a diverse team comprised of mobility enhancement engineers, explosive ordinance disposal technicians and intelligence analysts along with U.S. federal officer (FBI) support responsible for protecting U.S. and partner personnel and installations in Multi-National Division - North during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Developed tactics, techniques and procedures to limit attack effectiveness while advocating for improved technologies to detect and neutralize devices during a period of heightened violence. Responsible for identifying and targeting the numerous networks and cells producing, emplacing and executing attacks using IEDs.

Served in leadership and staff positions in the 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade. Led units of 25 - 40 soldiers and responsible for equipment valued in excess of 30 million dollars. Deployed to Saudi Arabia to enforce the no-fly zone after Operation Desert Storm, successfully integrating Patriot into the joint and multi-national force. Led teams to win multiple best crew competitions from the Battalion to Air Defense Artillery branch levels. Responsible for training junior officers in air defense operations and conducting individual and crew certifications. Selected to lead the doctrine, training and organizational development for new Patriot capabilities.
