I am an MD-PhD student studying both Medicine and Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Utah In the Utah Neurorobotics lab housed within the Craig H. Nielsen Rehabilitation hospital. My dream is to combine my passion for Engineering and Medicine to not only work with patients but help develop the medical devices that will improve their outcomes.I have previously completed a bachelors degree in chemical engineering with an emphasis in in biological and living systems and a minor in chemistry. Throughout my education I have also been heavily involved in medical-device entrepreneurship through the research, design, and prototyping of two award-winning projects. Work on these projects resulted in two provisional patents, primary inventorship on one utility patent, and equity-free funding in the amount of $46,000 from winning awards at five separate business competitions, and the co-founding of the startup Aether Masks, LLC. I have since left Aether Masks to work on my PhD full time and develop a new medical device aimed at assisting and rehabilitating hand function
