I serve as the key technical group member, and I have contributed to an annual sales volume growth of 25% minimum, year-on-year during my involvement. I take care of the technical resources and customer liaison for Deep Groove Ball Bearings, Angular Contact Ball Bearings, Tapered Roller Bearings, and Gen 1/Gen 3 Wheel Bearings. I actively assisted in the theoretical design analysis through product launch, providing additional support as required and as requested. I also provided informational presentations to customer engineering, sales, administrative, and production floor teams as a function of overall technical support.

I was directly responsible for establishing, staffing, organizing, and operation of Detroit (Southfield), Michigan sales, and application engineering office. Products include plain/antifriction bearings, bushings and thrust washers for engine, chassis, suspension and powertrain applications. I skillfully established and staffed newly formed Detroit Sales and Engineering Office and restored and nurtured relations with Detroit-based automobile manufacturers. I deftly obtained quotations over $300M in the initial two-year period. I also facilitated and directed multiple large contracts and subsequent program launches.

During my short stint, I was directly responsible for all technical issues for product lines that include wheel bearing units, transmission, and antifriction bearing assemblies. I looked after the client roster, including traditional “Big 3” automakers and all foreign transplants. I directly oversaw the launch of eleven new vehicle applications in one year involving all major Japanese transplant customers (except Toyota) in addition to domestic automakers. I was also a senior member of the project/design team to develop a next-generation hydraulic clutch actuation system. I expertly corrected English application standards that resulted from direct Japanese translation.

During my sizeable and impactful tenure, I have served at multiple roles & handled many responsibilities, and I have excelled at all of them. Virtually all roles included a high degree of Account and Program Management responsibility.Sr Application Engineer (2000 – 2001)I was responsible for the analysis, design, testing, evaluation, and modification of powertrain components, including engine bearings, bushings, thrust plates, pistons, piston rings, and camshafts. I regularly interacted with customers and internal departments as a project manager, ensuring successful delivery. I took care of the commercial sales for all accounts involved, resulting in over $50M new business. I skillfully developed an inboard engine system for a major client, involving a tight introductory deadline. Application Engineer (1997-2000)I took care of the targeted customer business segments involved small engines, large and small heavy-duty, and compression marketplace. I skillfully analyzed, designed, and developed diesel V-6 engine bearing system ahead of the deadline, allowing the customer to proceed with the project within their time constraints and assured of continued business throughout the life of the project. Sales Engineer III (1994-1997)I worked closely with all issues relating to heavy-wall and thin-wall engine bearing, bushing, and thrust plate product lines produced exclusively at this specialized production facility. I served as the sales and technical liaison to the power generation, marine propulsion, natural gas compression, turbomachinery, and industrial marketplace.
