Avionics Superintendent overseeing a large team of Avionic Technicians operating the Hawk 65/65A fleet and managing the changeover to the Hawk 165 program including facility and resource changes.

Working as a Technician Trainer and later a Supervisor in the Nav/Comms shop servicing the Hawk 65/65A Avionics from first line to bay support in Tabuk I have learnt the RSAF paperwork and quality systems along with the Hawk Avionics Suite. I have become a Red X qualified Supervisor and have begun to implement changes to ensure a smooth transition to the advanced Hawk 165 aircraft.

As the leader of a small team of Avionic and Electrical Technicians modifying the RAF's fleet of Tucano training aircraft I have developed my interpersonal, managerial and motivational skills to streamline the modification process and get the programme on track for early completion.

Aug 11 – Apr 12 Avionics Technician - 8 Sqn RAF Waddington As part of the Mission team I was responsible for the computer systems and the radar of the E3D Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Aircraft. During this time I Undertook training courses to prepare me for leaving the Royal Air Force. Aug 08 – Aug 11 Aircraft Handler – RAF Gibraltar During this period I was an integral part of a small team of aircraft engineers who reacted to short notice aircraft arrivals and departures, covering all aspects of the aircrafts needs from fuel to accommodation and messing. The aircraft ranged from helicopters to large transport aircraft including fast jet and propeller driven. As part of my other duties I was deputy to the Quality assurance and Health & Safety manager, in this role I carried out both Health & safety audits and quality assurance meetings and checks. Aug 01 – Aug 08 Avionics Technician – XIII Sqn RAF Marham I arrived at this post from trade training and proceeded to learn all I could about the Tornado GR4 Aircraft that the Squadron operated, this included multiple training courses for specific areas of the aircraft such as, Electronic Warfare and Reconnaissance systems. I deployed with the Squadron many times in my tenure to all kinds of environments. From desert to arctic conditions I excelled at my job even earning the Air Operation Iraq Medal in 2002 for service in the Southern no fly zone of Iraq.
