I am open, communicative, strong and determined. On the other hand, I am sensitive and thoughtful. I set high standards for myself and have the capacity to inspire others. I am proactive and work well independently but always look forward to being an active part of an effective team. I learn equally in academic environments as well as 'experientially' and continue to adapt effectively to change.In most of my previous employment environments I proactively sought out opportunities to learn and grow within the organization. I challenged myself to apply my vision and creativity to my work. These challenges have afforded me many valuable learning experiences. While acting in a supervisory capacity at SkyTrain, (Vancouver’s public transportation network), I called upon many of these experiences to enable me to make the right decision at the right time. These ‘hands-on experiences’ have increased my ability to make quick and effective operational decisions. They have also improved my organizational and leadership skills as well as my ability to communicate effectively and respectfully. I believe that I have achieved a level of competence that allows me to function quite effectively in many different and dynamic environments.I have continued to expand my knowledge and experience base by taking courses in a various disciplines ranging from management training, coaching, conflict and dispute resolution, and in the industrial trades.
