I hold an Executive Diploma in Municipal Management, a Diploma in Business Marketing, and have completed the AMCTO Municipal Administration Program with honours. I have over twenty years of experience in government affairs. As the Media Relations Coordinator and Emergency Information Officer, I led a team of communication experts. I designed and implemented communication and marketing plans, social media strategies, written and distributed effective media releases/media kits, help televised press conferences, and produced corporate videos, and promotional materials. I was deeply involved in daily decision making, problem solving, crisis management, strategic planning, and service delivery review planning and developing promotional and marketing programs. I have developed and enacted a Corporate Communications Strategy, and a Crisis Communications Strategy, and helped to develop a Corporate Strategic Plan, and Service Delivery Project. As the Media Relations/Grants Coordinator with the County of Renfrew, I reported directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), and worked directly with elected officials, Senior Leadership Team, business leaders, and staff to accomplish the strategic goals of the municipality. As the Grants Coordinator, I was directly involved in writing and reviewing more than $20 million in successful grant applications. I was deeply involved in the municipal process and attended committees and County Council Meetings, where I frequently presented reports and acted in an advisory role on senior governmental policies, service delivery, and strategic risk to the CAO, Councillors, and the Warden. In my recent role and, in a previous role as Marketing, Sponsorship and Donations Coordinator at Canadian Forces Base-Garrison Petawawa, I have initiated, designed, and led several strategic communication plans, branding/reputation management and marketing campaigns with great success.
