In this role I provide in depth financial and commercial support to key areas of the business to help drive up profitability and growth. I largely support a complex division within the company which delivers national government funded contracts that aim to improve the employability of those that are currently out of work. Key responsibilities include: • Building and maintaining complex financial models and processes.• Financial Lead for new contract bids including cost model development • Regular financial planning and forecasting including the annual budget• KPI Management and Reporting to Senior ManagementMy role is extremely varied and I regularly work with a wide range of stakeholders. For example within my role as a Financial Lead when bidding for new contracts, I am required to work closely with the Operations Team in order to understand and model the costs associated with the service we intend to deliver. I also need to work with the Bid Team to ensure we offer a financially competitive bid as well as report the potential profitability and financial risks to Senior Management.

This role involved providing financial support to a key division within RM Education.Key responsibilities included: • Monthly management of the P&Ls and Balance Sheets• KPI Management and Reporting• Financial planning and forecasting• Supervise and support new finance graduatesKPI management was a key responsibility within this role. By monitoring KPI information and communicating to Divisional Management any key changes, and the potential impact of these changes, I was able to have a fundamental influence on decisions that increased profitability and improved the division.

Key responsibilities involved monthly consolidation of revenue and cost in order to provide accurate financial information to management and the board. Ensuring thorough checks were in place to ensure that revenue and costs were allocated and reported accurately were an essential element of this role.

Key responsibilities included financial management of a number of Managed Service P&Ls (12 contracts in total) including the regular forecasting and yearly planning of these contracts. During my time in this role I also provided financial support to a number of divisions within the business including a secondment to a subsidiary business to provide key financial support during a period of significant growth for the company.

This role was a placement in industry as part of my University degree.
