Michael has held Chairman, CEO and executive positions in international advertising and blue chip companies. He is currently the CEO and major shareholder of RCD Espanyol de Barcelona Academy in Johannesburg, the Ibercup International youth football tournament tournament and Global Sports & Entertainment group. He is an executive of the Gazprom Football for Friendship project in Russia, a partner of Special Olympics and is a stakeholder of the Gauteng, KZN, Western Cape Provincial Government Sports, Arts & Culture Dept, the Schools football program and SAFA.Michael has garnered numerous awards in the advertising, television and marketing industries as an owner of his own advertising and production agency which he sold to McCann Erikson Worldwide. He then joined SterKinekor Entertainment and Theatres as Group Marketing Executive, which included Playstation, Universal Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures and Warner Brothers as part of his portfolio. Michael later joined DDB South Africa as a New Business director and has attended the Cannes Film Festival, Miped, Sportel Awards in Monaco, AFM in Los Angeles and other key events as a Marketing Executive. Michael lectured at Vega Advertising College, AFDA (Film School) and Wits Business School (MBA Honours) and is invited as a guest speaker at various marketing and sport industry led functions. Michael was inducted into the 2009 Confed Cup Tournament and the FIFA 2010 World Cup as a marketing executive and was a keynote speaker at the events. He has attended numerous international football tournaments including the French World Cup, Donosti Cup in Spain, IberCup in Portugal, Mayors Cup in the US, the Special Olympics in China as a either a coach or VIP delegate.Michael is recognised as a highly creative and strategic marketer who has made an impact in the industries he works in. Michael strives to address the social inequalities by providing sport as a gateway to changing lives, and has had a massive impact by being the first person to open up a LaLiga club Academy in South Africa, and develop a formal schools football cup tournament for local government.Michael has been instrumental in delivering a partnership program with LaLiga to deliver players training camps and coaches clinics in South Africa as their licence rights partner and is a shareholder in an LLC in the USA.
