My Penn State MSEE and PSU Schreyer Honors BSEE, coupled with my work experience, have made me a quick learner, eager to master any technology and produce results with my collaborators. I have over four years of professional experience. From my 18 months in the PSU Applied Research Lab, through 2+ years at Raytheon, I have broad exposure to IT tasks, networking, research, and programming. I have developed advanced skills in design, development, modification, documentation, testing, and deployment of software.My programming background includes ten years in Java and seven years in C++, along with proficiency in Bash and exposure to both Python and SQL. I have the education, experience, and focus needed to write robust, maintainable code.Approaching problems mathematically is second nature to me. I have excelled in probability and statistics, calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra courses. My studies required deep knowledge in application of statistical principles to complex problems. The foci of my graduate coursework were AI/ML, signal processing, and control systems. Coupled with the CCENT and A+ Technician certifications I earned in Cisco Networking Academy classes in high school, I also have broad understanding of networking protocols and cyber security.Thank you for reading my cover letter.
