- First Project: The full mechanical refurbishment of the Protea Hotel in Sea Point, Cape Town. This was a complicated project which required an ageing hotel to replace its HVAC, drainage and water reticulation systems, while the hotel remained operational. Through careful planning and co-ordination the refurbishment was completed over a five month period with minimal disturbances to the guests and hotel staff.- Second Project: New build sustainable housing development in Ottery, Cape Town. The housing development consisted of 13 apartment blocks (362 apartments), a community centre, multiple sporting facilities as well as a small waste water treatment plant. After the termination of the main contractor's contract for failing to meet deliverables, I was responsible during the transition period to ensure the new contractor's year-end deadlines were met.Responsibilities included: co-ordinating the work done on site, snagging the apartments, writing progress reports, working with the PQS to ensure correct financing and doing the onsite administration.

Participated in a work and travel programme where I travelled to the USA and worked as ski instructor for five months.

Facilitated management of trenchless pipe rehabilitation, inspected internal conditions of water and sewer pipes with CCTV cameras in order to remove foreign objects and clean pipes before rehabilitation commenced and ensured quicker installation of new pipe material.

Worked directly with one of the senior engineers on a number of projects at different stages of the design and construction phases of their development. Responsibilities included: assisting in design and analysis calculations, sitting in on site meetings, drafting engineering reports, drafting technical drawings (AutoCAD & Revit) and going to site inspections.
