I'm currently a digital content & broadcast television news producer at WAVE; the NBC affiliate in Louisville.I have been helping increase the year-over-year click-through-rate on our website through strategic SEO initiatives. Additionally, I have been increasing impressions on regional news articles focusing on Kentucky and Indiana. My team and I have been reaching major milestones this year, especially with more video views on our websites that we help keep running each day.I had the opportunity to help lead initiatives in expanding our OTT production at the WAVE Now News Desk, incorporating livestreams and digital newscasts, including coverage of major or breaking events. The livestreams not only contributed to our OTT success but also played a vital role in boosting social media impressions, particularly for the morning news team. By showcasing real-time traffic and weather conditions before commuters hit the roads, we effectively engaged our audience. Collaborating with my team, I successfully helped revive and design our noon newscast, making it become one of the top-rated shows in the Louisville market.My team and I covered the 150th Kentucky Derby back in the spring, so this made it my third successful Derby with the station.
