Fellowship trained in Geriatrics at Harvard and Board Certified in Internal Medcine, I came to Optum (OPAS) via EHR in 2009 after 27 years in clinical practice most of that time as physician in the Harvard University Health Servcies system. I am a graduate of Yale College and Yale Medical School. I am also an immigrant from Jamaica. With a broad clinical background, I have been able to apply my skills to the task of helping clients with their compliance solutions as part of the team at Optum Physician Advisor Solutions. It is a job I enjoy, particularly communicating with physicians and other providers and educating them about compliance and patient status and the crucial roles they play in making the heath care system work better for everyone. While I have missed some of the secondary gains of direct patient care, working in the compliance area has broadened my understanding of the healthcare system. I am best prepared to contribute to those forces working to improve quality, access and efficiency in the delivery of health care.
