I'm Michael David Casas..The Plaster Master. I apprenticed under the wing of Clarence Stewart the original " Plaster Master" for many years in the art of plaster restoration. I have devoted my life to my trade. I have reached the ripe old age of 59 years old and still wake up every morning looking forward to my day. I work with my son's teaching them this ancient craft/skill. We take pride in our skills of matching old textures to ceiling and walls.Los Angeles was built in such a short period of time and Los Angeles was never shackled in a certain period. We had tradesmen from Italy by way of New York. English influence by way of British Columbia, French by way of Qubec, and the Spanish which was California's first influence. You can find it all here in Los Angeles. Our weather brought the wealth and following where the architects, designers,builders and tradesmen.Los Angeles is rich in design and we have not stopped bringing such fresh ideas to design. We here in Los Angeles are proud of our recent past and contribution to the future. Plaster has been around for millenia...before the pyramids and still has value in this modern era.It is my hope to meet and collaberate with designers/architects about this ancient material.
