Responsible for new product design, testing, and engineering of the full line of new Bontrager helmets. Including Oracle ridden by the Trek Leopard team.

Contract position responsible for product cost savings projects on line of high end refrigerator and freezers.

Responsible for new product development of bath and shower products manufactured through compression molding of sheet molding composite (SMC). Implemented new line of caulk less showers with capital of $3 million from tooling to market introduction. Responsible for component drawings, production capability study, product testing, field study, and post release audit. Awarded New Product Development Teamwork Award for time to market, budget, and innovation. Developed and evaluated concepts for shower wall system by conducting field research, quality function deployment (QFD), brainstorm sessions, Pugh diagram, design and cost analysis. Drove early collaboration between engineering and industrial design to reduce development time. Participated on team to drive ideation by establishing internal innovation workshops (brainstorm) and implementing program to develop personal new product projects.

Responsible for ideation, design, and implementation of new products for window blinds industry.  Led cross-functional team of 4 in design of new vertical cellular shade with capital of $250,000 resulting in annual sales of 100,000 units and $30 million. Completed project on schedule from concept to market release in 12 months. Design included 15 new components of injection molded plastics, extruded aluminum, and stamped steel. Project included concept development, DFMEA (design failure mode effects analysis), safety review, CAD (computer aided design), prototype, product testing, production tooling and development of manufacturing process.  Implemented new product line of motorized blinds for automated control. Collaborated with supplier to combine motors, electronics, and controls with existing blind systems. Conducted ideation, prototype and development of new to market concepts for evaluation by company president and CEO.

Managed and designed several new product development projects from concept to production with Capital budgets up to $1.7 million. Involved CAD design, product testing, production tooling and equipment development.
