Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience within the mechanical and automation engineering fields, contributing significantly to company growth and expansion.I began my journey as an apprentice automotive machinist and engine builder, specialising in vintage and performance engines. This foundation instilled in me a strong technical acumen and a passion for precision engineering.Two years after completing my trade, I transitioned to a role as a TIG welder/fabricator at a company specialising in semi-automatic screen printing machines. Here, I became involved in research and development, deepening my knowledge of electro-pneumatics and semi-automated systems.My career then took a pivotal turn into the food production industry, starting at a small industrial bakery with ambitious plans for national market expansion. Over the next six years, I played a key role in their rapid growth, handling the installation and commissioning of automated machinery. I provided engineering solutions that supported 100% year-on-year growth, including technical writing of maintenance and operating procedures, compiling critical spares listings, and driving continuous improvements and machinery modifications. My responsibilities also included plant rebuilds, preventative and breakdown maintenance, and gaining extensive product and process experience, along with a thorough understanding of HACCP food safety and BRC standards.As an Automation Equipment Installation Engineer, I led mechanical and electrical engineering teams in installing, commissioning, and supporting a wide range of automated equipment and production lines across Australia.
