ITS is part of the Linfox (Armaguard) group of companies providing technology-based services in the form of installation, maintenance, repair and technical support for ATMs and a range of other cash dispensing/deposit devices as well as managed services to banking, retail and electronics customers primarily in Australia.Currently managing the integration of the merged operations of Prosegur device operations business and the ITS operations business to create a single operation that services ATMs and a range of other devices Australia-wide focusing on people, property, processes and systems.

Program managed the development of the Nibl strategy, product definition and initial business case for presentation to venture capital investors.

Top team member, responsible for Project Delivery Software Development and Testing

Working as an active independent contractor, I provide consultancy services and delivery expertise for key project initiatives. Working with a major vendor in the ATM and cash management arena, I recently completed managing the upgrade of the ATM fleet for a major Bank to enable processing of the new generation polymer notes issued by the Reserve Bank. The program involved managing offshore suppliers, complex logistics considerations, technical review and advice and engaging with general managers in the Bank to plan, execute, communicate, manage risk and deliver positive outcomes.

The role encompassed the end to end responsibility for all components of the delivery for A/NZ and run functions for the Australian operations.

The role was to direct both the internal and industry-facing CBA effort, bringing the program to life in a financially sensible manner which ultimately delivers a minimum viable product while providing for an extensible payments offering to meet retail, corporate and institutional customer expectations. My involvement was from December 2014 to September 2016 in which time a solid foundation for delivery was established. The Program went live in February 2018.

This program was designed to meet the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) requirement to operate on a single Exchange Settlement Account as part of the Authorised Deposit-taking Institution (ADI) Consolidation. The Program involved complex legacy payments systems and the added complexity of managing multiple geographically dispersed teams for each payments clearing stream across CBA and Bankwest. The Program completed ahead of schedule, within budget, with benefits greater than planned and all scope items delivered.

Various contract roles and assignments for Commonwealth Bank, BPAY, Toyota Motor Corporation and NSW GovernmentPrograms and projects delivered in the Commonwealth Bank include:Program Manager Payment Communications Infrastructure Program which migrated legacy communications infrastructure across Point of Sale (POS), ATM, Direct Entry, BPAY and Cheque payment systems to a new industry network (COIN). Program Manager EMV Program which implemented chip card processing capability in the Bank’s merchant acquiring business along with contactless technology for processing at merchant sites. Program Manager Payments Infrastructure Program which implemented systems to support reporting, monitoring and filtering of payments and enabled foreign currency payment processing in the strategic payment management system including all inward, retail, SWIFT IMTs (both Foreign Currency and AUD). Project Manager Commercial Broking System which required the development of a flexible commercial broking system designed to manage broking accreditation, calculate fee and trailing commission payments, generate statements and report performance of the broker channel. The system supported the establishment of third party origination of commercial lending products. Project Manager Imaging System which implemented the initial pilot and subsequent phases of an imaging system for the Institutional and Corporate Banking divisions. Project Manager, Payment Centre & Electronic Banking Help Desk IntegrationProject managed the integration of a high value Payment Centre and electronic banking payment activities into a new Payment Operations Centre. Consulting assignments performed for other organisations include:• Developing the risk management framework for a NSW government organisation to enable certification of the organisation with AS/NZS 7799. • Developing a revised fleet plan for dealerships for a major player in the fleet segment of the automotive industry.
