Prepare and submit required claim reports to the appropriate regulatory and/or administrative state and the National Practitioner Data Bank agencies in a timely manner.Review and analyze claims to determine those required to be reported to CMS under Medicare section 111. Provide state filing compliance analysis, expertise and preparation of filing submissions to ensure the timely approval of products, forms, rates and rules for property & casualty personal & commercial lines. Develop and submit Form, Rate and Rule filings using the SERFF System, I-File or paper filing method. Analyze, research and draft responses to state criticisms received. Function as regulatory liaison to Lines of Business and Actuaries. Provide expertise in the area of regulatory compliance as it pertains to products and rates. Analyze, research and draft responses to state criticisms received. Review, analyze, prepare filing submissions for new and revised programs, non-standard forms, manual pages, and rule and rate deviations to obtain approval on product filings for assigned states or products.

Work with Actuarial, Underwriting, Product Development, Legal and other areas to ensure effective submission processes. Independently manage all filing activities for the moderately complex to routine product filings. Serves as a key project team member as needed. Proactively provide regulatory expertise, including interpretation and guidance on state filing regulations to business areas. Identify compliance and business risks and develop solutions that satisfy company and regulatory concerns. Continually develop and maintain direct relationships with regulators. Interpret changes and developments in state statutes, regulations, bulletins, etc. that impact insurance design and development issues. Determine filing and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance and direction to business areas on B&FP insurance issues.

Work with Underwriting Management and the IT department to provide assistance in Rate and Rule testing to ensure company compliance with state mandated requirements in accordance with approved Rating Plans. Work closely with underwriting staff members to guide them through the preparation and completion of non-renewal and conditional renewal notices in compliance with state requirements. Work independently to conduct regulatory research.
