I have 25 years with _______, the last 15, a Corporate Telecommunications Services Technician, installing and maintaining all voice and data systems for all ________s company buildings in Midstate NY. I enjoy the change of day to day duties to go from fixing a 2400 baud modem to installing the latest Cisco equipment to cabling an office of 150 workstations. Learning the latest technology is a great challenge though it seems to be always one step behind what is coming out. I am currently attending Dutchess Community College for the Next Step Program. I just finished my 2nd year of the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree in Telecommunications Technology. My first 8 years at ________ was spent in the field as an Outside Field Technician installing and maintaining P.O.T.S and I.S.D.N. lines. Prior to Verizon was 9 years with a few smaller companies that gave me a great background of phone systems and telecommunications infrastructure that still comes in handy from time to time. There is a list of systems, and a list of companies both too long to post that I have worked with and most of which don’t even exist anymore. The start of my communications background was in Houston, Texas splicing cable for C&D in a small trailer behind a phone company garage in 1982.
Listed skills include Troubleshooting, Telecommunications, Voip, Routers, and 31 others.
