Engineering Consultant
CurrentEngineering Consultant: (2021 Production Programs): US625, TJBA, US40, WK, LX, RU, DS, & TYAA)• Responsible for all robotics, equipment and tooling management across 8 different productions lines (x3 fast bond glass & 5 OEM production) (Ford, Chrysler, & Honda, programs) • Manage Team Leader(s) & Associates in planning, assigning directing and coordinating day-to-day customer build expectations• Direct Quality & Engineering Managers in determining appropriate process and tooling updates / integrations• Ensures standardized work processes and rotation schedules are adhered to• Tracks & reports daily production; drive improvements where necessary• Participates and leads process improvement projects: productivity, quality, ergonomics, etc.• Ensures all Company policies, procedures, plant standards and safety rules are consistently adhered to• Collaborates with the Manager/HR in the administration of disciplinary action, when necessary• Provide feedback on work performance, safety, housekeeping, quality, accuracy, quantity, punctuality, job knowledge, adaptability, initiative, teamwork, communication, judgment and comprehension• Drive actions for improvement by communicating with the UAP Manager, Production Supervisors of other shifts, and support functions to ensure a transparent information flow• Responsible for planning and execution of plant and customer goals by providing proactive, efficient, and reliable leadership for one to three shifts, in a seven-day work week • Direct Quality Cost & Delivery (QCD) performance initiatives for designated groups by setting targets, implementing plans, tracking daily results and making appropriate adjustments in resource planning in order to attain desired results
