National manager of Suncorp’s $200m+ Long Tail Portfolio and Product management function across Professional & Financial Lines, Liability and Surety through the Suncorp, Vero, GIO and Resilium brands.

The responsibilities of the role included:Managing a $130m+ portfolio consisting of Professional & Financial Lines on behalf of the Suncorp group across company brands Vero, GIO and Resilium.Contributing to the financial performance of the Profin portfolio by creating strategies and tactics to optimise the growth, margin and risk profile over the short and long term. Leading a team of portfolio and product specialists who collaborate closely with all stakeholders to deliver an exceptional customer proposition across the Suncorp Brands. Leading a team of portfolio and product specialists to work collaboratively in governing the underwriting function via Business Licenses, Reinsurance Treaties, Delegated Underwriting Authorities (DUA’s), underwriting guidelines, automated business & underwriting rules, technical training and audit processes.Leading a team of portfolio and product specialists in the development and execution of new and updated Professional & Financial Lines products.

National Manager of Suncorp's Professional & Financial Lines business (Profin). Profin distributes professional & financial risks products via the Vero, GIO and Suncorp brands on behalf of the Suncorp Group Australia wide. GWP >$140m and a team of 32 staff nationally.During this period I was responsible for executing the biggest structural change in Profin's history and the biggest change to the business transaction process in Profin's history. During this period I also prepared Profin for the largest IT project in its history, the rollout of a major new facility with a major international broker and the successful operation of the business day to day.

Manage Suncorp's national portfolio of professional & financial lines business under various brands including Vero, GIO and Suncorp.

Managing Vero's Professional & Financial Lines NSW portfolio along with the former APUA portfolio. The portfolio includes PI, D&O/EPL, Management Liability, Association Liability, Medical Malpractice, Trustees Liability and Crime Insurance across a broad range of professions and industries. Total portfolio ~ $60m in annual GWP. The team comprises of 4 Senior Underwriters, 7 underwriters and 4 underwriting support staff.
