Studied Electrical Engineering at Glasgow Kelvin College achieving a HND grade A. A two-year course completed in July 2022 which covered a range of topics including 3 phase systems, digital electronics, electrical motor systems, power electronics and electrical installation.Studying building services Engineering at Glasgow Caledonia University.Commenced September 2022.Six and a half years of service as a Royal Navy Able Seaman and Local acting Leading Seaman. Gained valuable transferable skills while operating complex equipment in the challenging and highly-pressurised environment of a nuclear submarine. Now looking to transfer into a new challenge using the technical expertise and communication skills developed while serving in the Royal Navy Submarine Service.Technical Skills: Displayed the ability to master complex and cutting edge technology within the Sound Room of a Royal Navy nuclear submarine. Developed a highly detailed understanding of the environment and oceanographic conditions to become an underwater acoustic specialist.Communication Skills: Used both verbal communication skills and PowerPoint to effectively convey crucial information to superiors, functioning as a vital link in the chain of command.Staff Training: Passed on skills and experience to fellow crew members, ensuring they became highly trained and effective members of the crew.Data Analysis: Used highly developed skills to classify and track contacts in the battle space, effectively functioning as the eyes and ears of the entire submarine. Comfortable reporting to senior members of staff.Health & Safety Procedures: Had the serious responsibility of maintaining and checking various pieces of equipment and safety features to ensure the wellbeing of the entire crew.
