- Converted a legacy reporting software originally written in Python to Java - Reduced runtime of Java reporting software by 65% by restructuring how the input data is stored- Added new versatile features to legacy Python software that a client needed immediately- Enhanced MySQL queries by using prepared queries instead of normal queries to be more efficient with large amounts of data and to prevent against SQL injection attacks- Designed the new reporting software to be scalable and cloud ready using Docker and Kubernetes - Created a testing environment using Kubernetes that runs the legacy Python and new Java reporting softwares and compares their outputs to ensure the new software is fulfilling necessary requirements
