The Silvertown Tunnel is a road tunnel under construction beneath the River Thames between the Greenwich Peninsula and west Silvertown.

* Responsible for supervising lifting operations as prescribed within regulatory codes of practice such as LOLER 1998, PUWER 1988, CDM, also within other guidance such as BS 7121 and company procedures (operating on one of the largest construction project in Europe - £20bn). * Leading large teams and focusing, aligning and building effective groups for positive impact on business performance through collaboration and participation between the different departments.* Responsible for controlling and inspecting lifting equipment on the job, operating with a high attention to detail and ensuring compliance with operational / H&S processes. * Working in partnership with a multi-disciplined team, providing support and assistance to ensure processes are adhered to and completed within agreed timescales. * Operating in a flexible and adaptable manner to ensure quality results are delivered and operating as an advocate of Health and Safety at all times. * Successfully completing tasks within a team and focused on improvements.

* Took responsibility for supervising lifting operations as prescribed within regulatory codes of practice such as LOLER 1998, PUWER 1988, also within other guidance such as BS 7121 and company procedures. * Inspected lifting equipment, ensured operational compliance and that all timescales / standards were met. * Controlled Health and Safety on-site.

* Attended and participated in daily progress meetings, operated as a key liaison between operational teams and management and acted as the Performing Authority on the permit to work system. * Responsible for the fitting of new accommodation modules with lifts up to 30te. * Fitted structural steel for the new accommodation and the lifeboat/galley lay-down area and for the extension of the platform for the new Long Term De-Standing Unit. * Completed well maintenance, the installation of new wells and completed associated pipework and valves. * Planned and implemented shut down scopes of a large degree set over 4 platforms. * Provided assistance and support to other trades when required to ensure quality and timely results in- line with operational plans.

* Operated on a site-based role at Sizewell A & B Nuclear Power Station inside the reactor containment. * Responsible for lifting spent/new reactor rods and ensured that all H&S Regulations were adhered to and that operational procedures were met. * Worked in a team environment.
