I have been a Barrister for almost 20 years. I initially worked in Chambers in Cardiff before joining Staffordshire Police in 1998, ostensibly with responsibility for Civil Claims lodged against the Force. I was the promoted in 2004 to the position of Head of Legal Services, where I gained huge experience of both the Police Service in general as well as Police Law in particular. I always conducted Advocacy for the Force in relation to all sorts of cases (including very serious matters ie Death in Custody Inquests / Misconduct Presenting Officer etc).I joined Chambers in May 2012 in order to build a Practice in relation to Police related matters, but also those areas where I have had significant involvement previously-ie Civil Litigation and Employment Law
