These days I’d like to say I’m a “modern” senior developer not bound to one platform and with usage of agile techniques. Besides these technical skills, I perform consultancy and management tasks, handling several complex business cases in a project team.Obviously you cant be good at anything, and therefore you have to specialize, especially when it comes to development. But to be stronger and more flexible than other programmers you need knowledge to develop total solutions. I personally try to achieve this with expertise in CRM and CMS systems, but with a very wide scale of techniques like using libraries and frameworks in .NET and Django, read and write multiple languages, and usage of models. I have studied some “core” languages (JavaScript/jQuery, Python, C#) and database/query languages, formatting languages, and data formats (e.g. SQL, HTML, JSON, CSS, XML). Besides programming I’m a Database and Server manager which means I can manage database backups, install and use version control systems (GIT, SVN, Team system), write server tasks (batch, script), maintain (web) services, and using / configuring webservers for publishing websites (IIS, Apache).
