Expanded professional expertise across software platforms, and instructed operations on use of third-party software for expanding troubleshooting skills in refineries. Maintained effective collaboration with Engineers on the development of Operations training programs to benefit the refineries, ensuring optimal training for operations employees. Spearheaded standardized program for training fired heaters which overhauled a legacy administration guide and fostered a well-received 3 training year cycle to elevate performance and reduce heater incidents. Managed outstanding vendor-led Boiler training for all refineries, delivering superlative assistance with the pilot class and integrating a wide array of feedback for a comprehensive class revamp. Achieved excellence as lead instructor on Rigging and Signal training for 97 employees, implementing state-of-the-art approaches to coaching and curriculum development to save the company $19.4K. Elected as lead instructor on Overhead and Gantry Crane training for 541 employees; recommended new approaches to deliver instruction and maximize training value, saving $108.2K. Partnered with Operations leadership to develop a standard training program for the console operator, including 28+unique process unit checklists which addressed safety requirements and guaranteeing continued regulatory compliance. Led and facilitated other mission-critical projects which positively impacted revenues, including OMM/TIS, Distillation Model Training, and a bespoke Learning Management System which included Competency Implementation.

Implemented use of Bravo Software into current training programs, resulting in improved workflow and reduced training times. Created and edited presentations for various training programs, maintaining the highest standards of quality while strictly adhering to corporate policies. Worked in line with SMEs to develop all qualification tests. Improved fired heater training by incorporating table top drills. Implemented corporate test writing standard to improve the consistency of all training efforts. Upheld constructive alliance with Yokogawa to develop custom training material for DCS console training. Built tailored procedures and processes as the SME for OSHA and PSM compliance, in addition to serving as a PSM auditor to audit sister refineries  Designated as the foremost liaison with corporate technical training to develop refinery supervisor training as well as cutting-edge computer-based trainings which flawless incorporated adult learning techniques.

In the Console Operations role, I authored our qualification tests, developed several operating procedures, and served as SME for process hazard analysis sessions. This was in addition to my daily job of operating a distillation unit, utilities for the plant (boilers and water treatment), hydrotreating unit, and an isomerization unit. The continuous training of my co-workers is something I held in high regard and it positively impacted our success as a shift team.

Rose above goals as a leading resource for operations on safety standards of lockout/tag out, etc., including offering insights on potential improvements to standards. Planned isolation and de-inventory of process units strategically prior to turnaround, with constant focus on continued efficiency and effective team collaboration. Authored standard operating procedures which contributed to overall safety and operational savings. Utilize technology platforms to provide information as a resource in permit writing. Collaborated with SMEs to optimize a complex curriculum for operator training programs.
