I am a Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame Australia, involved in undergraduate teaching and postgraduate research in the School of Education.My research interests include social-emotional learning, health promotion, mixed methods approaches, and the role of adventure in outdoor education. I am an active researcher, with articles published in academic journals and several in preparation (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=mqYCRMoAAAAJ&hl=en). I serve as a Deputy Editor and on the Editorial Executive board for the Journal of Outdoor and Environmental Education (JOEE). The journal provides an academic forum in which empirical and non-empirical research concerning outdoor and environmental education can be shared and discussed. The primary aim of the journal is to positively influence the development of outdoor and environmental education practice and theory both in Australia and across the world. I am an Executive Committee Member for Outdoor Education Australia (OEA), providing operational support and strategic advice for a host of activities related to outdoor education within Australia.Prior to academia, I worked as a freelance outdoor education instructor.
