The Operations Manager assists the Executive Director of the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs (OVMA) in managing the daily operations, mission, and financial operations of the office. The Operations Manager is responsible for planning and the execution of events, managerial oversight of event sub-committees, and oversight and coordination of veteran and military-related offices across campus. The Operations Manager manages the execution of the communications strategy to increase the visibility of veteran and military affairs at Syracuse University and reports directly to the Executive Director of OVMA.Manages the daily operations, administrative, and fiscal aspects of the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs, including the integration of its mission areas and support functions across the University. Manages the monthly reconciliation of budget expenditures and contracts. Supervises student work studies.Manages the planning, coordination, and execution of university veteran and military-connected events (e.g. Veterans Day Ceremony, Student Veteran Commencement, Stars and Stripes Tailgate, Chancellor's Review, etc.) and manages the organization and execution of supporting subcommittees of each event.Initiates and prepares written communication (press releases, end-of-year reports, marketing collateral, etc.) for submission to the communications team and manages all office social media outlets to increase the visibility of the department.Directly responsible for the department's collaboration with veteran and military-related offices on campus to enable their success and ensure effective communication across campus (e.g., Office of Veteran Success, Veteran Career Services, Army and Air Force ROTC, Student Veterans Organization, Veteran Legal Clinic, University Veteran Recruiters, etc.).

I have personally managed over 12 internal department new employee onboarding packages and have assisted in over 6 enterprise-wide hiring committees. • Assist National Leadership Team on strategic policy implementation, professional development training, and recruitment events. Assist Directors with proposal presentations, annual and quarterly programming recruitment analyses, and monthly reconciliation owner of program’s exam expenses/invoice review for national learners (Over 2 Million USD to date) and operational fees for staff (travel reimbursement, collateral, and equipment). • 2020-2021: Employer Partner support and collaborative partner lead for several other VSO relationships (veteran service organizations – ACP, HHUSA, TMF, etc.). Owner and curator of O2O testimonial archive/storytelling procurement initiatives utilized for funding/grant reporting and donation campaigns. Liaison for external media facilitation planning when needed.• Assist O2O National Leadership Team with creating, implementing and communicating strategic programmatic policies, to include the collection and submission of funding report content.• Assist with O2O training events and conferences including logistical planning and administrative support. Work with outside vendors for food and accommodations, and facilitating reimbursement.
