The study of geography captured my fascination for thinking about the world and its challenges. GIS provides important tools to understand and address those challenges.I earned a Bachelor of the Arts in Geography from Rutgers University, and a Masters of Science in Geographic Information Science for Development and Environment from Clark University. I have focused my career on making meaningful contributions to solutions addressing pressing problems, particularly focused around climate change and nature-society interactions.My GIS career began with several compelling work experiences with the National Park Service focused on natural resource management, protection of park resources, and coastal geomorphology. I worked in the Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park and the Gateway National Recreation Area, where I applied my GIS expertise to numerous projects in the parks. Afterwards, I worked for several years in environmental consulting with AECOM and SWCA Environmental Consultants as a GIS Specialist providing geospatial support to ensure environmental compliance of a wide range of energy and infrastructure projects. Since February of 2022, I have been working as a Technical Consultant in Esri's Professional Services division, where I work directly with customers to implement technical GIS solutions for mission-critical projects.

Located in the DC Federal Delivery Center in Esri's Professional Services division, I support a range of customers with implementing often mission-critical GIS solutions. Much of my work focuses on the use of web GIS (web applications, feature/image services, data collection workflows, etc.) to help customers accomplish their missions. I mainly work with federal agencies including NOAA, FEMA, NASA, USGS, state and local governments, and non-profits; the projects I support focus around topics including climate change, conservation, emergency management, natural resources, wildland fires, and fire prevention. My current role has been a highly fulfilling experience where I continue to sharpen my GIS knowledge while I contribute to customers' impactful work throughout the country.

In my work as a GIS Specialist with SWCA Environmental Consulting, I performed a wide range of GIS responsibilities in support of the company's natural and cultural resource consulting.
