Volvo Cars lead lawyer for direct markets, supporting the UK market make the transformation into the first Volvo Cars direct sales market. This transformation includes working with the UK market during and after the transformation to a direct market, working with Volvo Car Retailers on their new relationship with Volvo Cars, working with the digital teams on the new online customer journey, overseeing all regulatory compliance activities in the UK (including FCA applications) and working on all other areas of the transformation, including consumer and competition law issues.

As the sole Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for Volvo Car UK, I am a member of the UK Executive Management Team and support the C-Suite and wider UK sales company by providing legal assistance covering all fields of the business including dealer related issues, marketing and sponsorship activities, co-operation agreements, purchasing agreements, data protection matters, financial services (including FCA regulatory applications), procurement and corporate legal matters. I am also the sole Legal Counsel of Volvo Car Ireland, supporting the Irish sales company on very similar issues, and support the Head of Legal for EMEA in all matters.

I primarily provide a wide variety of dedicated legal support to AXA PPP healthcare, the second largest Private Medical Insurer in the UK. This includes general legal advice on all aspects of the business as well as drafting and advising on various corporate and commercial transactions including a number of acquisitions (such as the acquisition of the Simplyhealth PMI business), insurance distribution, trust administration, third party administration and reinsurance agreements. I also work closely with the strategy team and get involved in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts with new partners, including AXA PPP's virtual GP provider, Doctor Care Anywhere.

I provide legal advice to various AXA UK group companies (including AXA UK plc and Bluefin) on:- M&A transactions and general corporate support;- insurance distribution and other agency / general commercial agreements;- procurement agreements; and- investment agreements

For two months in 2015, I worked in the AXA Group Legal team in Paris on secondment. During this time, I worked in the M&A team on a number of corporate acquisitions all over the world and provided local AXA entities with corporate legal support.

I advised on a broad range of corporate finance work, including company and business acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, corporate re-organisations, private equity fund formations, public takeovers, fundraisings and IPOs.
