Worked on-site at two separate projects located on Joint Base Charleston. One project was a renovation of an office building at the Nuclear Power Training Unit (NPTU) . The second project was on the U.S Air Force base. This project entailed the demolition of three existing hanger facilities that will be replaced by a new Flightline support facility which will serve as a new logistics center for the maintenance and assembly of approximately 40 Boeing C-17 Globemaster lll aircraft. Throughout the three months I worked on both of these project sites I gained valuable construction management experience and skills , specifically in the federal division. Some of my main roles included managing the buyout process for multiple large subcontracts, writing RFI’s for subcontractors to solve design issues in the field, as well as assisting the QC manger with submittals, punch lists, and quality control inspections.

Assisted in placing formwork for footings, columns, foundation walls, shear walls, and slab on grade. Worked with general foreman to ensure that walls and columns were level and placed correctly according to the building's drawings. After the slab on grade for the building was poured, I worked heavily on scaffolding, ensuring that the crew was placing the scaffold in the correct place according to the formwork engineering drawings. Placed post shores according to drawings and code to distribute the deck load more evenly. Used a laser based system to level all elevated deck after scaffold was in place. Prior to each elevated deck pour I walked the pour with a formwork engineer inspector where he advised me where to add more post shores and/or how to fix any problems that we may have missed. In the three months I worked on this site we were able to finish 3 below-grade levels of parking garage for the building. Eventually the building will be a 9-story apartment complex for students at the University of Maryland.

Worked with crew to remove nutrient laden muck from 97-acre area of the Grand Canal waterway system. Maintained site which captured and dewatered material being pumped in large geo tubes. Operated heavy machinery to install formwork and backfill around the site. Ensured site was being run in compliance with local and state code.

Worked privately to plow snow and ice from multiple business firms in Doylestown, PA. Was actively on-call to plow residential client’s driveways and walkways. Maintained residential properties by removing trees and leaves for clients.
