Cared for different species of birds, reptiles, fish and invertebrates via cleaning enclosures, preparing food, and ensuring that habitat conditions were ideal. Handled animals during visitor encounters as well. Conducted two independent research projects; an Identification Roster and Food Preference Chart for the different species of fish and invertebrates residing in the Education Department of the Shedd. The former consisted for researching identification features (appearance, behavior, etc.) for each of the individual species. The latter consisted of collecting data via presenting the different species with two different food options every day and then recording which food item the subject "preferred". Four different food items were compared in the study, and data was collected over a two month time span.
