o The use of solid state and/or liquid state NMR, UV-vis, fluorescence, PXRD, TGA, DSC, SEM etc. to investigate their structures and properties before and after the formation of supramolecular complexes.o Application of these assembled nanomaterials as confined environments and photosensitizers for selective photochemical reactions with singlet molecular oxygen.o Computational molecular modeling studies using SpartanTm and QchemTm to explain and predict the reactivities of guests in supramolecular complexes. o Absorption of guest molecules by pyridine functionalized bis-urea macrocycles.Expertise: Gas adsorption(BET/Langmuir), UV-visible and fluorescence spectroscopy (both liquid and solid state), NMR, IR, TGA, DSC and SEM.I am also responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Quantichrome Autosorb 1 instrument to analyze the uptake of gas molecules into porous material and evaluate their overall porosity.
