As the readjustment counselor, I provide social and psychological services for qualifying Veterans and their families. Services include intake screening and risk assessments, counseling goal setting and service planning, crisis intervention, care coordination, and outreach. I facilitate individual and group therapy, employing psychological interventions to negate detrimental outcomes deriving from mental health infirmities while making psychosocial and psychiatric diagnostic inferences within my clinical scope. Furthermore, I connect Veterans with community organizations to maximize their independence, health, and well-being. Lastly, I aid in onboarding new clinicians and provide them with education and resources regarding the Vet Center, Department of Veterans Affairs, and veteran-friendly community organizations in Northwest Arkansas.

As the collegiate recovery specialist, I oversee the recovery community at the University of Arkansas. The program aims to help students overcome recovery-related issues, achieve academic success, and foster personal and professional growth. I facilitate weekly recovery meetings, conduct mental health and substance use assessments, and develop recovery plans for students in the program. Additionally, I utilize evidence-based treatment modalities to help achieve favorable outcomes for students in recovery from substances.

As the MAPP mentor, I work with college students failing to adjust to campus life, exhibiting risk behaviors with substances, and those on the verge of suspension for various offenses against the Code of Student Life. As their mentor, I arrange an intake assessment and create individualized treatment plans for each student lasting nine weeks. I evaluate their strengths and outline ways to ensure their success at the university.

As the Mobile Unit intern, I served underprivileged youth in elementary and middle schools in Northwest Arkansas. The program provided students with a character development curriculum, social and emotional learning techniques, life skills, and financial literacy courses. Also, I constructed a pre-and post-test to evaluate the risk factors of the students in the program to better assess their needs.

As a mortarman, the main objective was to sustain combat readiness regardless of the obstacles we encountered. I served as a mortar team leader directly in charge of multiple Marines during and after a combat deployment. I mentored my junior Marines and trained them in preparation for deployments. I was accountable for over $100,000 worth of supplies including issued equipment, weapon systems, optics, and communication gear. Also, I took part in the development of combat orders and planning in joint operations with various units and military occupation specialties.
