As an entrepreneurial business founder and owner, I understand the intricacies of financing, managing, growing, and exiting businesses. I have advised and assisted other business owners with growth strategies, marketing, and business development.My career in advertising and marketing includes senior management roles at Omnicom, DDB, Rapp, Interpublic, and Universal McCann. I also gained valuable M&A experience, tasked with building a diversified communications group, where I sourced, analyzed, and negotiated with over 50 companies.As the director of media planning and buying at several major agencies, I focused on data, research, and analysis, and developed an innovative audience measurement and targeting system.The next stage of my career took me into the evolving eCommerce sector and then into sports marketing and related activities. Following these experiences, I developed an online marketplace to sell unutilised space in credit card statement mailings to advertisers. Since 2009, my business activities have primarily focused on eCommerce startups, including one with a brick-and-mortar component, and IT advisory services.I have always been passionate about sports, with a particular focus on road cycling over the past decade. I am an active member of several cycling clubs. In 2017, I completed LEJOG (Land's End to John O'Groats), and in 2018, I set a Guinness World Record for the fastest tandem pedal-powered crossing of the English Channel—a record that still stands. I strive to cycle the classics in Europe whenever possible, most recently conquering Mt. Etna, Mt. Ventoux, Hautacam, and Luz Ardiden.
