My law practice focuses on patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation cases. I have a mechanical engineering degree and technical experience in the fields of oil well design and nuclear power plant operation. Representative cases have involved a broad spectrum of technologies, including smartphones, computers, software, and satellite systems. I have represented clients in federal district courts, California and Texas state courts, and the International Trade Commission. Prior to practicing law, I was a senior drilling engineer for ExxonMobil. I planned and executed numerous drilling programs throughout the world, including wells in the South China Sea, Africa, Azerbaijan, and the Gulf of Mexico. I was also an operator and instructor in the Navy’s nuclear power propulsion program, and served aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise.
