I currently work at Capital Area Food Bank as the Operations manager, supporting various organizations throughout North Virginia. We support community colleges, public schools, senior living centers and after school programs across the Northern Virginia area as far out as Loudon County. Our organization provides federal, state and local government assistance to underserved communities in the DMV region. My responsibilities include developing long-range planning, coordinating, implementation and managing the flow of fresh produce, USDA grant funded food and assorted community donated items across the area. In my current role in the Lorton Branch of CAFB while working with our HQ in Washington D.C. I manage a staff of 15, including routing a truck fleet of 9 - 26 foot box trucks and 3 tractor trailers.
