As the NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge) of Inspector General (IG) Exercises and Inspections, I oversaw and managed the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of exercises and inspections within the organization. My role ensures that the unit or base complies with established standards, regulations, and policies while maintaining readiness for mission success.In this position, I lead a team in developing and implementing exercise scenarios that test our operational capabilities, emergency responses, and compliance measures. I work closely with departments such as operations, logistics, maintenance, and safety to identify areas for improvement and ensure that exercises accurately reflect real-world situations.I also review inspection results, identify non-compliance or areas of deficiency, and provide leadership with actionable feedback for corrective measures. My role requires a strong attention to detail, effective communication, and leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of regulations, safety standards, and military operational procedures.Through this work, I help maintain unit readiness, ensuring that personnel and processes align with mission objectives and that any weaknesses are addressed before real-world operations.

A Contingency Response Wing (CRW) is a specialized United States Air Force unit that provides rapidly deployable airfield operations and logistics support during emergencies, contingencies, or humanitarian missions. These wings are designed to open and operate airfields quickly in austere or hostile environments, enabling the U.S. military and its partners to conduct airlift, air refueling, and other mission-critical operations.CRWs typically include a wide range of personnel with expertise in airfield management, aircraft maintenance, air traffic control, communications, security forces, and medical support. Their primary role is to establish and manage airfield operations, ensuring the flow of personnel, equipment, and supplies into and out of contingency zones.They are crucial in the early stages of an operation, often being the first on the ground to set up air operations in disaster zones, conflict areas, or regions requiring urgent logistical support.

Offers customers information on flight schedules, routes, air movement requirements, baggage limitations, and specifics on local facilities. Performs procedures to check in, process, schedule, transport, and escort passengers to and from aircraft. Ensures all passenger border clearance requirements have been met. Operates terminal security equipment and conducts passenger and baggage security inspections. Reviews passenger travel authorizations for validity and accuracy. Applies tariff rates, collects fares, and accounts for documents and monies. Uses automated systems to provide in-transit visibility and to document passenger movement operations. Develops procedures for handling special category passengers.

Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and controls air transportation activities. Determines and justifies personnel, equipment, and facilities required to accomplish air transportation functions. Supplements policies, directs personnel, and establishes procedures to process, load, document, and report passengers and cargo transported by air, including paratroops and cargo moved using aerial delivery methods. Inspects airlift activities for compliance and recommends corrective action. Conducts personnel and equipment management surveys, and provides technical assistance as required. Enforces safety, quality control, and security measures.

Verifies eligibility of cargo offered for airlift. Ensures all cargo documentation, packaging, labeling andmarking requirements, and border clearance requirements have been met. Determines quantity and type of cargo to be loaded according to aircraft allowable cabin load. Selects, assembles, palletizes, and transports cargo loads to and from aircraft and storage areas. Checks cargo against manifests and annotates shipment overages, shortages, or damages. Secures cargo with appropriate restraint equipment. Packs cargo parachutes, rigs airdrop platforms, and loads aircraft performing aerial delivery tactics. Uses automated systems to provide in-transit visibility and todocument cargo movement operations.
